Well done to Justin for finishing 10th in the final race. Jed finished 62nd–a good result.
Congratulations to Justin for qualifying 17th and to Jed Rooney for qualifying 69th in the World Cup finals in Windham ,USA. We now have to wait for the final race runs early on Monday morning. There was only 18 seconds between the 80 riders competing.
Here is a photo of Justin with the 2nd place medal from the Crankworx Gazarbo Whistler Downhill race held 2 weeks ago. He also came 3rd in the Whistler Open Canadian Downhill .

We are helping to raise money for Jed Rooney so he can attend the DH World Champs in Monte Saint Anne in Canada that are coming up on 5th September. He has been chosen to represent NZ as part of the MTB team.

We have had many companies donate items and we will be auctioning them off up at Signal Hill at the Prize giving on Sunday to raise money for Jed. Jed`s Mum has been making jam and every competitor who registers on Sunday will receive a pottle of jam.

Monday 16th August
Thank you to all the riders who came along on Saturday and Sunday.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the track despite the mud. We were happy that no-one got hurt.
We have raised over $1500 for Jed to travel to Canada. He leaves on Thursday. We hope that eveyone will come in to Bike Otago and pay for items purchased at the Auction after the race finished.

Justin on the podium in Austria at the IXS Cup. We wish him well for the next World Cup race in Champery in Switzerland this coming Saturday.
