We are 1 year old this week.
We opened Bike Otago 1 year ago and it has been a very busy year. We have been giving away birthday cake and also giving away a free helmet, lock and light set with most bikes that we are selling. We were thrilled for Justin when he won the DH MTB National Cup race in Dunedin on the weekend.

Thank you to all the people who helped with Marshalling and to get the XC and DH tracks ready for racing. Alot of work goes into preparing tracks for race days.
We had alot of competitors visit us from all over new Zealand and also from overseas. We look forward to seeing everyone in Dunedin again when the Oceania MTB Champs are held in March .

We were happy to give Jasmine a brand new pink bike and matching pink helmet for Christmas. Jasmine has been in hospital for a week and is still there. Hospital Staff wanted to help her out with her wish for a pink bike for Christmas and asked us on Christmas Eve if we could help out. Jasmine rode her bike down from the hospital today for a visit. Get well soon Jasmine. We hope your bike will bring you lots of joy.

Duncan was the lucky winner drawn for our Christmas Eve raffle for The Iron Horse Sunday.The winning ticket was drawn at The Dunedin Police Station in Great King St. Duncan`s wife Aimee bought him the lucky ticket for Christmas. Duncan bought a Yeti bike off us earlier in the year so we were really thrilled for him. We can`t wait to see Duncan learning to ride downhill.
A big thanks to all the boys who helped with the digger and track building last Saturday on Signal Hill! the track is looking awesome! All are welcome to go check it out however some sections are taped off to allow the bermed corners to settle.
If you are keen on helping or want to suggest improvments to the tracks on signal come see Greg aka Magnum in store, We have all so started a DH sub committee to help with the up coming National and International events in 2010, fresh blood is always welcome at the fortnightly meetings.

BMX Club nights start this week on thursday at 5pm, the track is looking good at Forrester Park so go check it out and have a go!
We will be getting more race BMX in as the weeks go by so keep popping in.
