It was a fabulous morning on Sunday for Race 3 of the Bike Otago Winter Series . This was held at Forrester Park. 49 competitors took part.   See below for the results .  Ethan Glover , Justin Leov , Jacob Grieve, Dan Hellyer, Andy Connelly, Ben Shayler and Joel Anderson all rode well and fought it out for the top results.

Joel Anderson had a flat tyre and Justin had trouble putting on a loose chain.

Ethan Glover had a great  race again.

Bike Otago is looking forward to seeing everyone for the final race of  the series at Wakari Creek on the 21st August.

See below  for the results  for Race 2 of the Bike Otago Winter Series held at Wakari Creek on Sunday 19th June.

There were 68 competitiors which was a great turn out. The weather was fine as well . Everyone seemed to enjoy the morning`s racing.

It was exciting seeing Ethan Glover, Joel Anderson and Andy Connelly battle it out at the start. Unfortunately Andy got a puncture and Ethan and Joel went on to finish 1st and 2nd in the Expert Open Men Section. We hope you will have better luck next time Andy.

Congratulations to Justin for coming 9th in the UCI World Cup DH Race on 7th August in La Bresse France.  Justin is now ranked 8th in the UCI World Cup DH standings.  We hope the next UCI DH World Cup race in Italy at Val de Sole on 21st August goes well for Justin.

Congratulations to Justin for coming 6th in the latest Downhill Mountain Biking UCI World Cup in

Windham USA in the early hours of this morning. The racing was very exciting to watch on Freecaster TV.

Justin is ranked 10th overall for the World Cup Downhill rankings. Well done Justin.

Last week in Monte St Anne in Canada , Justin came 10th in The World Downhill MTB Cup  which was also a fabulous effort.

Justin came 8th in the World Cup held in Leogang, Austria 0n 12th  June. This was a great result. Justin is ranked 10th in the World Cup Standings .

The next World Cup will be held in Monte St Anne in Canada on 26th June.

June 6th 2011

Justin competed in the 2nd World DH Cup at Fort William in Scotland on Sunday 5th June for the 2011  Season and came 8th. This is a fantastic result. Other Kiwis racing there did very well as well. Brooke Mc Donald came 3rd, Cameron Cole was 6th and Sam Blenkinsop was 7th . An impressive line up for four kiwis to be in the Top 10 for Downhill racing in the world.

The next World DH Cup will be held in Leogang in Austria next weekend.

Justin has been competing in Pro Gravity Tour Races in the States. Justin came 3rd in the  Highland Park DH race and 2nd at Platterkill.

This last weekend  Justin came 3rd in the US Open Downhill mountain biking event that was held in Vernon. He was very pleased with this result and will be competing in the Downhill World Cup to be held in Scotland at Fort William this weekend.
