We've got some exciting new changes to the 2018 edition of the Emersons 3 Peaks Enduro. These include a new course, two race options and an E-Bike category. We are excited once again to be an Enduro World Series qualifying event. We hope to have even more riders and more above average chat.
We have 2 different race options this year.
The Classic: 7 stages over 2 days.
Only 7 stage riders will be in contention for prize money, medals and EWS qualification points.
Adults: $120 Under 21: $100
The Challenger: 5 stages over 2 days
The 5 stage course will be a bit more manageable in both riding difficulty and distance covered per day. Essentially, we're going to skip the hardest course of each day. We hope this will encourage more people to get a taste of Enduro and see what all the hypes about!
Adults: $110 Under 21: $90
We love the E-bike revolution and believe the more bums on seats the better. That's why this year we will have a specific E-bike Category. We are still working out the final rules for this category, but we will add them here soon.
Final schedule will be announced soon, but count on the following:
FRIDAY 30th November - Registration & Signal Hill Practice Day
SATURDAY 1st December - Big epic day out & a dinner provided.
SUNDAY 2nd December - Signal hill day. We will try finish by 3pm latest.
Every year we get an amazing selection of spot prizes generously donated by our sponsors. We will also provide cash prizes to the first 5 overall men and women. Watch out on our facebook page as we announce the sponsors and some of the prizes on offer this year.
This Qualifier event will allow Enduro Mountain Bike Association (EMBA) members to gain points based on their results, then the best three results of the year will be totalled on December 31st 2018 to generate their global qualifying ranking for 2019. From these rankings the top 80 Men, top 30 Women, top 15 Under 21 Men and Women and the top 20 Masters will be added to the reserve list for Enduro World Series races the following year.
Riders must be EMBA members in order to be eligible to collect EWS Qualifier Series ranking points / be added to the EWS Reserved List. Riders MUST have the membership before the race. So make sure you’re a member before the race if you want to get any points.
