History of Bike Otago

Bike Otago was started in 2008 by Greg and Nola Leov along with their son Justin Leov (international top 10 downhill and enduro rider). They wanted to share their passion of riding with the Dunedin community.

In 2012 Greg and Nola decided to return to Blenheim and sold the business to Kashi  and Roshni who moved the store to a gorgeous wee space opposite the railway station at 8 Castle St, where Kashi was distributing Yeti Cycles here in NZ.

After a year or so Bike Otago had outgrown that space and moved upstairs to a larger, rather industrial feeling warehouse space. By 2016 Bike Otago business had grown so much that the upstairs warehouse space was too small a space to work with and we needed to find a bigger space to continue assisting with the rapidly growing business!

In Winter 2016 we moved into our current site at 252 Cumberland street where since then we have continued to grow and develop our business. We work with a lovely crew of passionate cyclists who live and breathe a biking lifestyle. With a shared passion of cycling we have all grown into a tight-knit team who enjoy working in such a fun and passionate environment!

In the 11 years since Bike Otago Started we have transformed from solely working on bike repairs, to selling them too. We now sell mountain, road, CX, Kids and electric bikes with a range of brands including Giant, Yeti, Transition, Niner, Open, Production Privee and Smart Motion.
